OUCH!!

OUCH!!

Before you hear it from anyone else, The Hots is down for a while. On takeoff this morning the rudder servo suddenly went right with no input from the transmitter and it went hard into the fence. The fuselage is in two pieces and the wing is damaged on both tips. It will be repaired this winter. I probably said a few choice words when it happened. I still have 5 other planes to fly though so all is not lost!

Sorry to hear that, Mike. I hope your equipment is OK. You certainly have a good attitude towards it. Hope to see you soon.

What am I going to do? Get mad and upset but still it won't change what happened. Life goes on and it is what you make it!

Some people do lose it when they break a plane, and you are right that it does not change the mistake. I strained one through a livestock fence once. It wasn't pretty.

I got scratches once, on my glider wing, I got over it! Ar-Arr! Sorry Jim, I had to throw that one in there!

You are right Mike. You must go on. It is not just a matter of how much the airplane cost or the emotional liability you have in it. It is an opportunity to learn new repair skills and help out your local hobby shop!
