The Art of Soaring.

Post

Here is an article that might help in explaining how gliders go up and stay up. It's quite fun and exhilarating to not only almost lose sight of your glider but to almost not be able to get it down! That is what happens when you fly your glider out at the MMAA model field on a good day.
       Here is the article, enjoy.

I just ordered a Phoenix 2000 glider from hobby king.  Seems many people have them, and they fly good stock.   Come with everything but battery and rx.

I think i will be able to use this for soaring out at the field.

And for < 100 bucks, a good deal.

Sounds good, Paul. That's a good machine. Come out with Jim and I sometime and we'll have a blast. There really are great thermals out at the field.

Not sure how long it will take to get it.  I don't have anything to fly at garvin other than my dlg, but I believe several people are going to head up there around noon and on this saturday.   I will go to photograph and watch.
