Flying Field Access Gate

Flying Field Access Gate

Yesterday, the gate to the field was found open and the lock was no longer there. Open access to the property has cost all of us well over $1,000 over the last several years, and the gate with the fence appears to have put the brakes on that problem. Please be careful about the lock and gate. If you find something like this, please let a Board member know as soon as you can. Thank you Mike Mclain and John Hicks for informing me. I will replace the lock with a new one later today. Jim Ferguson MMAA Treasurer

Perhaps, we need a security guard. Eh?

I think that maybe every member should have there own lock with there name on it and then when the gate is left open we will know who left it open.

The lock has been replaced. I bought one yesterday which proved defective. Mike Mclain bought a replacement today.

I noticed today that someone has taken bolt cutters to the hasp and lock on the south side of the small cabinet. The cut is not rusty so wasn't done long ago. I suspect that our missing gate lock was cut. They did not manage to get into the cabinet, just bent the hasp. I'll post a photo tomorrow.

Here is the photo of where someone attempted to cut their way into the small cabinet. Note the nick in the lock where they tried to cut it. [br][br]
