I'll be there, but not totally for sure I'll be there both days. I have another event Saturday evening, and it might delay me til later in the a.m. on Sunday. Also I feel a little uneasy to leave much there for over night, or do we have some kind of security for the display?

Like Anthony said, will there be any security to watch over the models, if we leave them there overnight? Randy

I had a bad experience leaving airplanes overnight in a supposedly secure location. I would recommend that you take the planes home with you at night, or if you are from out of town, take them to a friend's house for the night.

Thats kind of what I was thinking, Jim. I might just bring mine with me, and take them after leaving.

Jim,It wouldn't be a big deal to take our planes with us at night if that is your advice. I don't know if I would feel comfortable leaving them there anyway.

Any updates for next weekend? Should we just bring models, and tables?

Will the models be put on the ground or on tables? Do we need to bring tables? Does anyone know?

To whoever is in charge of this, Please give us some specific information. What time, what place, what to bring, what to do and any other information that we need? So far, this seems to be a big guessing game. I can be there on Saturday but not on Sunday.

September Meeting

Everyone: The Tribute to Aviation, hosted by Welcome Home Montrose is from 10 to 4 on the 12th. On the 13th it'll be from 9 to 3. Tables (hopefully 6) and stanchions will be provided. We'll be inside the main terminal on the north end. Visitors would enter the ramp through the northern security gate and should all walk right by us. John Carbonneau was told this morning that more full size aircraft than they expected will be there. You'll park in the regular visitor lot, and bring your parking ticket in with you to have it validated; your parking will be free. There will be free drinks and sandwiches available in the administrative office or you can purchase food if you'd prefer. What to bring: we'll need airplanes to display (that should include a good cross section of things representing the diversity of our hobby). Please bring some kind of brief written description of the plane with information that may help the public understand what they're looking at. Also, if you have purchased Association clothing, please wear it to help identify you with the Association. I'll try to bring stick on name tags for those who don't have MMAA shirts or hats.
