I just received the kit and plan to get to it in January. Yes it is an electric even though I don't normally fly them. I am really looking forward to this one and will try to have pictures of the assembly process. Mike

OK if this works here are some pictures of the enterprise going together. The first is all the pieces. The second is the disc only. Look closely and you can see the carbon fibre ribbon around the prop hole! [br][br][br][br]

I have wondered how those unorthodox layouts fly. Should be pretty neat, and if we have kids around I'd bet they'd love it even if they had never seen star trek.

Am making headway. Will post more pics when I get the nucells together. I can't work on it as much as I would like though.

Here is all the sub assemblies together. Disc, lower deck, nacelles and fuselage. Note the carbon fiber tube reinforcements. There is also one enclosed in the fuselage. The other picture is what it is supposed to look like when it is finished. [br][br][br]

OK I finally made some headway. All the decals are now on and servos fitted. Assembly of all the parts comes next. The decals are a pain in the neck . They are tissue paper and are applied with decopadge glue so the decals tend to stretch easily, but it is done![br][br][br][br]

Looks good, Mike. When do you think it'll fly?

what is the span (diameter) of that wing? Yeah, and we want to see it commit aviation.

I just got the model all together. Now to get the radio gear and motor in. I hope to fly it sometime in the next two weeks if all goes well. the saucer width is about 24" and it is supposed to weigh about 14 oz. I will have a picture of it as soon as I get it all done and before the first flight just in case!
