Next Meeting ?:

The website doesn't seem to get a lot of traffic anymore but it looks like we had a decent number of members renew and even got a new guy. Seems like quite a few guys like to go spend time flying by themselves or with a friend which I have to confess is what I like to do. At least things are still ambling along and people are using the field.

That'll work. It would make short work of prairie dogs and sheep too!

Should we look into beefing up our security system?  I'm afraid it's unavoidable these days.

FrSky Horus:

The guy at the hobby shop here in ABQ told me yesterday that Hobbico had just applied for Chapter 13 bankruptcy. That could make Frsky and similar radio's exponentially more popular if Hitec, Tactic, Futaba, Airtronics and JR cease to be imported. In the last year alone we lost J-Znger props, Model Master enamel, JR, Airtronics, Supertiger engines, Thunder Tiger engines Williams Brothers etc. No more Hobbico means no more Great Planes, Tower Hobbies, Topflite and countless other products. Too bad.

Vandalism rears its ugly head again.:

Good idea, I'll chip in to buy a system. I'm afraid when this sub-species gets comfortable visiting our field the damage will get worse and worse. Like huge ruts down the middle of the airstrip and shooting up the cabinets etc. The GJ club just installed cameras to combat the problem.

Yeah, I noticed a ton of tire tracks all over the place going out into the desert in every direction. Seems like there has been a lot of activity out there lately.
